People ask lots of questions about first aid courses and first aid certificates. First aiders should hold nationally recognised Statement/s of Attainment issued by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for the nationally endorsed first aid unit of competency. At a minimum, this should be HLTAID003 Provide First aid. This statement of attainment for First aid is recognised throughout Australia. The Safe Work Australia First Aid Model Code of Practice requires employers to ensure their nominated first aiders attend training on a regular basis to keep current.
